The short version
Ordinary Prepper collects as little as it can, sells nothing to anyone, and has no interest in following you around the internet. This page says what little does happen, in plain words.
What the server keeps
Like every website, our server keeps standard logs of page requests — the page visited, the time, and the type of browser. We use these logs to count readers and spot problems (a page that stopped loading, a link that broke). Logs are kept for a limited time and are not combined with information from other sites.
The contact form
If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we receive your name, your email address, and your message. We use them to answer you. We don’t add you to a mailing list for writing to us, and we don’t share your message with anyone else.
Affiliate links and cookies
Many product links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one, the retailer (for example, Amazon) sets its own cookie so it can credit the sale — that’s how the commission described in our affiliate disclosure works. Those cookies belong to the retailer and are governed by the retailer’s privacy policy, not ours. Ordinary Prepper’s own cookies are limited to what the site needs to function.
What we never do
- We never sell personal information. We have nothing worth selling and no buyer.
- We never require an account to read anything here.
- We never put third-party advertising trackers on this site.
Your choices
You can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time; the site will keep working. If you’ve written to us and want your message deleted, ask through the contact page and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the change will be posted on this page with the date. Ordinary Prepper’s privacy policy was first published October 19, 2026.
